What is Grief?
Grief is a natural and deeply human response to loss, whether it’s the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or a significant life change. It can bring a wide range of emotions, including sadness, anger, guilt, shock, or even numbness, and may also affect daily functioning such as sleep, appetite, and concentration.
Importantly, grief does not follow a single path as each person experiences it differently, often in waves that can feel unpredictable and overwhelming. In therapy, grief is approached with compassion and understanding, recognizing both the pain of the loss and the meaning it holds in your life. Therapy offers a safe, supportive space to process emotions, make sense of your experience, and gradually reconnect with yourself and your world at your own pace.
